We are FINALLY getting back together as a family!! We are SO excited! And cautious. And doing everything we can to make sure we keep everything as “safe” as possible. We’re glad to be meeting in person again, but we do recommend everyone follow guidelines put out by the CDC for minimizing possible transmission of “germs,” including coronavirus. We assume you know the risks, since they have been broadcast EVERYWHERE, and by joining us at our facility you accept that risk as a personal responsibility. RVCC and it’s staff, management, and attendees are not responsible if you end up sick.*
*[Legal stuff…you know how it is. Lawyers gotta make a living, too. We’ll have official disclaimers posted everywhere…]

The bottom line is that God IS good! ALL the time. If you are at-risk, not feeling well, or not comfortable joining us in person that’s okay. If you’re sick let us know, we will pray for you! You can always keep watching our services live-streamed on our YouTube channel at: www.youtube.com/user/RiverValleyLakeElmo if you feel you are “at risk.” Or another option is to check out the new drive-in service at Lucy’s Burgers in White Bear. (Get more info on that below.)

If you want to be around, but not inside the building, we’ll be broadcasting the service into our parking lot with an FM transmitter. You can join us there, and wave/honk/see everyone as they come and go without direct exposure if you like. No one is forcing anyone to do anything, and there is no condemnation! We love you and want to accommodate everyone we can at whatever level you feel necessary.

As usual, our sermon audio and video will be posted and available here on the website as soon as we get it edited and processed following the services, so you can continue to access that like always.

Most of our regularly scheduled classes (like Wednesday night stuff) are on hiatus now like we usually do during the summer. We are slowly, and cautiously starting to get back together for some of our other small classes and groups. Some may still be using or offering Zoom, so contact the church office or your group/class leader for details. Pastor Karen will still be hosting Children’s Church there for now after our Sunday service. If you haven’t heard herand would like details please contact the church office.

You can still continue to call (or video chat!) one another to check in and see how everyone is doing. Pray for each other! Always!

Keep up on (or get into) a daily Bible reading habit. Ours is linked every morning on our Facebook and Twitter pages at 6am weekdays, and 6:30am on weekends.

“For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, 7 for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” —2 Timothy 1:6-7

Cathy D is hosting the Healing Hearts back in the RVCC building on first and third Tuesdays starting at 6pm. She will still be offering the ability to interact on Zoom, as well, if you still prefer. Contact her or the church office for details.

As we stated above, our regularly scheduled Wednesday night classes are on hiatus for the summer. We plan on being back and better than ever in our new classrooms starting this fall!

Freedom in Christ has wrapped up it’s sessions, except for the “Steps to Freedom in Christ” workshop day Saturday, June 6. Contact the church office for those particulars if you have not received them already.

Our 6-week Healing class with Pastors Brad & Jean has wrapped up, but if you missed a session or would still like to see the class, those videos are available on our YouTube channel for you to watch whenever it fits your schedule.

Freedom Group is meeting Thursdays at 7pm via Zoom. Contact Wayne and Patty or the church office to get included in that meeting. They area also holding Freedom Group meetings live and in person at ENGAGE CHURCH in Prescott, WI.

Spiritual Weapons And Tactics will once again be meeting at 6:30 pm on the 2nd Fridays of the month at Dennis & Cathy D’s home. Contact them or the church office for details.

This season of local race events has been affected by the viral pandemic, but we’ll once again offer opportunities for you to fund-raise for camps, getaways, activities, building fund, etc. by helping out along the course of the races that are still scheduled be held this fall. Talk to Pastor Peter about getting involved. It’s a great outreach into our community! Dates for races that have not been cancelled at this point are August 8, and September 19.
