April 11, 2021

Yes, we are meeting in person. We assume you know there may be risks, but by joining us at our facility you accept that risk as your own personal responsibility. RVCC, it’s staff, management, or attendees are not responsible if you end up sick.*
*[Legal stuff…you know how it is. Lawyers gotta make a living, too…]

If you are at-risk, not feeling well, or not comfortable joining us in person STAY HOME! That’s okay! If you’re sick let us know, we will pray for you! You can always watch our services live-streamed on our YouTube channel at: www.youtube.com/user/RiverValleyLakeElmo if you feel you are “at risk.”

Sunday mornings we have one of our classrooms set aside with physical distancing and masks required where we have the live-stream playing so you can be here and see the service, but interact with as few others as possible. We also broadcast the audio on an FM micro-transmitter into our parking lot so you can stay in your car if you feel you need to join us that way.

No one is forcing anyone to do anything, and there is no condemnation! We love you and want to accommodate everyone we can at whatever level you feel necessary.

As usual, our sermon audio and video will be posted and available here on the website as soon as we get it edited and processed following the services, so you can continue to access that as always.

Men’s Breakfast April 17

Our second “Unleash the Freak!” men’s breakfast group is meeting Saturday, April 17 @9am. Men 7th grade and up are more than welcome. We have a sign-up sheet for the breakfast on the table by the front entrance. If you would sign up and let us know you’re planning on attending, we will make sure we have plenty of groceries. See you there!

Hey, we know it’s a little awkward to be “new” people!

We think we’re pretty nice, but sometimes it is difficult to approach total strangers and strike up a conversation. That goes for the long-time member as well as the “newbie”! To help make the process of getting to know each other maybe (marginally?) less awkward once a month we’re hosting a reception after service in our classroom wing. The next one is Sunday, April 18 with Pastor Jon answering questions about RVCC. It’s an open invitation, with no pressure to attend, but we hope you will.

Staff, leaders, and members will be there with some light snacks and friendly, open conversation. Information about RVCC will be provided, but we just want to get to know you and make it easier to get to know us, and help us find out YOU’RE pretty nice, too!

We’re planning an all-church picnic after service Sunday, June 6, too! Put that on your calendar and make plans to join us for that. It’ll be fun!

If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us at the church office!

Keep up on (or get into) a daily Bible reading habit. Jump into our 2-year program! Each day’s reading is linked on our Facebook and Twitter pages every morning at 6am weekdays, and 6:30am on weekends. There are also printed copies of the whole program available in the foyer on the Info Table by the restrooms.
“For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands, 7 for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.” —2 Timothy 1:6-7

All makes welcome. A motorcycle isn’t even really required. We’ll let you come in a cage if you want…assuming you can keep up! 😉

RVCC guests who are hard of hearing can now amplify our service audio through their personal Assistive Listening Device (ALD).

We live-stream and record our service, so your presence here constitutes your consent to be photographed, filmed, and/or otherwise recorded, and for RVCC to use the recording without compensation in any and all media for as long as it exists.
No, we’re not anticipating making a boatload of money off of an image of the back of your head, or you worshipping with your hands in the air…but we figured it would be a good idea to let you know you could end up on our livestream, social media, etc.
