It’s like a huge rummage sale, except everything is FREE! The 16th annual RVCC “Give”.
The RVCC congregation brings in our “excess”–the perfectly good stuff that we have sitting around taking up space–and we invite members of the community to come in and take whatever they need. Many of our “customers” thank us and come back year after year.
The 2012 “Give” will be Saturday, Septmber 8th from 9am-noon.
The reason we do this is to help build relationships within RVCC, and to bless those in the community around us. De-cluttering our homes is just a byproduct.
Donations will be accepted starting Tuesday, Sep. 4 through Friday, Sep. 7.
Volunteers are needed to work sorting and arranging any day during the week, and on Saturday from 9-10:30am and/or 10:30-Noon during the event, and also for clean-up and resetting the sanctuary for the weekend services.
We also need men who are willing to help carry items to the guests vehicle and/or transport large items for those who have limited or no transportation.
Continental breakfast will be provided for Saturday volunteers.
What to donate (new or gently used items):
- Clothing of all types and sizes
- Housewares, appliances in good working condition
- Furniture in good condition
- Linens of all types
- Toys, games, books
- Bicycles, sporting equipment in good working condition
- Baby clothing and accessories
- CDs, Cassette Tapes, Video Tapes, DVDs
- Grocery bags or plastic bags with handles
- Your time, your energy, your pickup truck
