This summer youth from RVCC will go on a mission trip to Hungary and Romania to minister mainly to the Roma (Gypsy) people in a couple different areas.

These teens will be working with our friends Dan and Marta Lewis from Light To The Nations Ministries, who have been involved in the area for many years, and that we have worked with extensively before. (Dan and Marta are very good friends of RVCC, and you can see their latest newsletter in the “Friends of RVCC” menu at the top of this page.)

The team will minister in Uszka, on the border with Ukraine, for three days to the local Roma churches and communities in the area. This will include mostly youth and children ministry. They will teach Bible school to children during the daytime and minister to teens at night. The will also have outreach and evangelizing opportunities to the local communities.

After Uszka the team will travel to Szekelyhid, Romania. In Szekelyhid they will be minister to the children and youth in an extremely poor district of the city. Dan and Marta have relationships with multiple churches within the Roma community and the team will be reaching out to them through ministry, worship and other socializing activities.

After Szekelyhid, the youth will head back to Budapest, spending the weekend there sightseeing, recuperating with some down-time, and participating in a church service with Budapest Autonom Church. Monday afternoon they will join the Autonom Church at their annual youth camp in Vacduka where andspend the rest of the week there. During this week they will have the opportunity to more fully develop their personal relationship with the Lord through worship, teachings, local outreach and various activities in a Spirit-filled setting.

After this week the team will head back to Budapest and fly back to the States.

It will be a full trip, and will have a life-long impact on these youth guaranteed! If you would like to support a member of the team, or support the mission trip generally you can do so by CLICKING HERE or contact the church office for other ways to give.
