The 2022 Pumpkin Palooza is Saturday, October 1 from 4-10pm!
Pumpkin Palooza is a fall family festival extravaganza and chili cook-off!
The event itself is free! As an RVCC member, though, your ticket in is a pot of chili to share for the dinner. If you’re an invited guest, please don’t feel obligated to bring chili, but you are certainly welcome to pitch in and/or participate in the chili cook-off contest! If you want to enter your chili into the cook-off, there is a small entrance fee.*
Activities and events for all ages that evening will include a chili cook-off (*$10 entry fee), pie eating contest, bonfires, old-fashioned games, etc.
We will also have live music! The Benson Family is back!!
Details
What to bring: A pan of chili and a pie! Pumpkin, apple, or berry.
What not to bring: Please do not bring any other desserts other than pie. Please do not bring other food items such as cornbread. Food space is limited.
What if I don’t like chili?: Feel free to eat before you come, or pack a sack lunch. But definitely still come!!

Serving at the event: An event this large takes many hands! There will be a signup sheet available that lists the many ways you can help serve. (See Renae Justin for questions).
Donations: If you feel led to support the event financially, you can do so through the church ahead of time noting, “Pumpkin Palooza” in the memo, or there will be opportunity to donate at the event.
Volunteer: If you can volunteer for the event, either during for an hour or especially the next day helping stack hay bales, load tables and chairs, etc. you can contact the church office with questions.
